I had PlayMemories Mobile app 5.6.1 installed. I bought the camera only two weeks ago and I installed it that time. But I uninstalled and reinstalled as suggested but no change.
Now when you say "post a sample video" I guess you are telling me to take a video of the whole setup (with another camera) and send you. Because if I send you a sample video of what I record with the remote app that is not going to show you anything about the problem. My problem is I cannot change any controls of the AX53 because first of all there are no controls showing on the app except MODE, Wide/Tele and Record Start/Stop. Even if it had an exposure control I could chage the exposure remotely to make the recording somewhat useful. I tried the software on an a5100 and it did give me an option to increase or decrease exposure. Secondly all settings on the camera (apparently) default to auto because I can see the picture color (whitebalance) changing as I move the camera from tungsten to daylight area. And when I go back to the camera and disconnect the remote sure enough all controls are in auto, no matter where I set them before switching to "CTRL WITH SMARTPHONE" in the camera menu. The FDR-AX53 firmware version is 1.01.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy tab A7 with Android 5.0.2.
