Anyone looking to buy the FDR-AX53 and hoping to use it with remote operation be aware that the PlayMemories remote does not retain ANY of your manual settings and does not allow you to control ANY of the settings except zoom. I set the ManualRingSetting to Exposure hoping that may be I can at least turn the ring and change the exposure while in Remote operation but no luck. EVERYTHING switches to auto thus making the footage useless in most indoor scenes. I am guessing it would be simple for Sony to let the Exposure, Iris OR Gain be in manual and changable but even in the latest firmware 1.02 no such luck.
