Thanks for the timely response.  This did not fix my problem. 

- No Blu-ray add-on software installed

- PlayMemories has being the most recent ver5.4.00 (I re-installed it just in case)

- No other burning applications installed since I got this new PC a few months ago

- Tried to make a DVD with only 1 clip 45 seconds long; used R+ and R-, both brand new and 16x [selected 4x speed to make the DVD]

- NOTE: I am making a DVD, not a Blu-ray

- My Camcorder is a Sony HDR-CX190

Any recommendation?
