With Sony behing hacked twice, they made their credit/debit/paypal application very restricted.  If you make 1 mistake, like an expiration date being wrong or anything else for that matter or make a mistake like setting the auto payment drop down to no versus yes, their application locks your account.

 

It may stay locked for 2-3 days.  Support won't tell me what the duration is, I supposed if I was a hacker, then I would know when to try again but I'm not.  I just want to give Sony money and this company goes out of its way to deny funds.  You can try to get on chat and ask them to unlock the account, but that may not work either since this company is hacker skiddish.

 

I can use the same credit/debit/paypal setup anywhere else and it works fine.

 

Never worked with an ecommerce company like Sony that tries really hard to say no to your money.

 

So, to fix, the online chat is the best option but that hardly ever works and they ask you for 7 things before letting you in.  Hey Sony, if you're listening, only requre the Playstation online ID and then the person on the other end can use that to lookup things like name, email and whatever else.
