Sorry to hear about your experience, please sign in to you PSN account at https://www.playmemoriescameraapps.com/portal/ 

Then, click your account to go to the dashboard.

Click Account.

Click Wallet.

Add credit card first.

After adding credit card, click add wallet and add funds.

Try to redownload paid apps again.

 

If the issue is still unresolved, you may contact https://www.playstationnetwork.com/about-us

Transferring picture from DSC-HX90V to iPhone fails

iPhone is running iOS 9.3.1 (iPhone 5s).  PlayMemories Mobile is version 5.5.0.

On Camera, use Menu to select Send to Smartphone (WiFi) > Select on This Device > This Image.

On iPhone, connect to WiFi SSID advertised by the camera.

WiFi display on phone shows check-mark against camera SSID; camera screen shows "Connecting..."

Start PlayMemories Mobile app on phone.  App screen shows comms icon against Connect to Camera communication graphic.

Then before any pictures get transferred, the app times-out and displays "Failed to get status information of the camera".  The camera screen still shows Connecting..

 

I have followed the suggestions to Restart App, turn off WiFi and start again etc.  Nothing seems to fix this.  I even re-installed PlayMemories Mobile app.

 

The first time I tried out the WiFi transfer to my iPhone, it worked.  Now a day later it has stopped working. I have been unable to find anyone with a similar problem when scanning the community.

 

Any help would be most appreciated.

Playmemories Home - Download

I have the same problem as many others in that I get anetwork interupt when trying to download Playmemories Home on a windows 10 computer. I have tried 2 computers woth the same result. There is nothing wrong with my network connection.

Is there a workround for this problem, it seems to be common.

 

Is there another way of downloading images to my computer?

 

Are Sony doing ANYTHING about this?

You can try to use the reinstall PMH in the computer to see if it will resolve the thumbnail issue.

 

Does the thumbnail issue only happens when PMH is used? or do you get thumbnail issue even with other programs?

I attempted to do some troubleshooting on this problem tonight and found that the issue is intermittent.  Last night it wouldn't transfer any pictures to my iPhone using PlayMemories Mobile. Tonight it worked partially.

 

  • If I choose Select on Smartphone under the Send to Smartphone function, once I had established the camera's SSID as the WiFi network on my iPhone, the camera display said "Sharing...". I could then start PlayMemories Mobile and I was immediately presented with all the photos on the camera, grouped by date. So it worked !!!
  • If I choose Select on This Device under the Send to Smartphone function, once I had established the camera's SSID as the WiFi network on my iPhone, the camera display said "Connecting..." If I then started PlayMemories Mobile, I got the error message "Failed to get status information of the camera".
  • I then Reset Network Settings on the camera and tried again.
  • Now both modes of Selection (Smartphone/This Device) worked.

I'll keep posting if I see any other problems.

We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with downloading PlayMemories Home on your Windows 10 computer. You can download the software without network connection to avoid any interruptions or transfer the files using a standard USB connection. Please follow the steps below on how to transfer using the USB connection:

  1. Change the USB Connect Setting of the camera to MTP.
  2. Turn the camera off and connect it to the computer. Turn the camera on and wait for the "MTP USB Connect" message to show up on the camera's LCD display.
  3. If the Windows Autorun Wizard pops up: 
    1. After connecting the camera, a notification box will appear. Select the notification box and then select Import Pictures and Videos using Windows.
    2. In the Import Pictures and Videos window that appears, click Import Settings.
    3. In the Import Settings window, follow the instructions to import your photos and movies.
  4. If there is no pop up window, 
    1. From the desktop screen, click on the Folder icon located on the task bar and then click theComputer icon on the left side.
    2. In the Computer window, click the icon that represents the camera.
    3. Click the folder with the movies or photos in it and drag and drop it on the desktop screen of the computer.

NOTES:

  • The pictures are saved in the DCIM folder. AVCHD videos are in the STREAM folder/subfolder under BDMV/AVCHD and the Mp4 or mpeg files are saved in the MP_ROOT folder.
  • Please check the compatibility of the camera to the Windows 10 OS before connecting the camera to the computer.

You can also insert the card directly to the SD slot of the computer to transfer your files.

PlayMemories Home and new phone

I have been importing photos from my iPhone 4S into PlayMemories Home. I got a new iPhone 6 yesterday and did a restore with iTunes of all the settings and photos from the 4S. Today when I try to import just the new photos from the iPhone 6 PlayMemories tries to import all 200 photos and videos. All but three of these are already on my computer so I'd end up with a bunch of duplicates. Is there any way around this problem.

I am having the same problem.

I first tried connecting my A7R2 to my wifi which is BT but that failed to work. I then managed to set up my iPhone as a personal hotspot and managed to get connected that way.

I try and buy Time Lapse. It asked me to register online my credit card details on a laptop so I did that.

 

Now I get to the final 'Confirm Purchase' screen on the A7R2 andI scroll down to a button that says 'Order & Pay'. Next to it there is a link to Cancel.

 

I click on the button that says 'Order & Pay' and the same screen reloads back to the top of the 'Confirm and Purchase' page

The Sony Email Response Team got back to me and explained the issue:

  • The iOS version that I just updated to (9.3.1) is not compatible with PlayMemories Mobile

At this point, I have found a work-around.  Using Adobe Lightroom Mobile.

I am trying to sync my camera to the app but my camera is only giving me a password not a QR code and the app will only let me use QR code to sync. What am I doing wrong?

Hi don187,

 

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

PMB or PMH (PlayMemories Home) only manages the files stored in your computer. These software helps you import and edit the files and save them on your local drive. The default folder for all imported files transferred using PMB/PMH is the Pictures folder, unless you decided to save them elsewhere. 

 

If by lost you mean the software has been uninstalled, simply download PlayMemories Home to manage the files using it. All the pictures and videos saved in your computer will show up on the program. But if your computer was reformatted or you're now using a different computer, you can transfer the files to the computer via USB connection or inserting the card in the slot, if they're still saved in the card you're using with the camera.

The error code that you received means that the PS4 console that you're using is permanently banned from the PlayStation Network. The console has been permanently banned from accessing PSN services for violating the Terms of Service and User Agreement. You can read this article for more information on bans and suspensions:

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

Since you're using a new device, the program will read the files as new ones that haven't been imported to the computer before. To copy the files you want to import, click the Select Files to Import option on the  Import page and highlight the pictures. Press the Import tab to copy them to the computer.

 

I recommend deleting the files from the smartphone so as not to accidentally import the previous pictures to the computer. You can also delete the files after import by highlighting them, right click and press delete.

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

Opening the app before making a wireless connection will result in a display of the QR code. The QR code is used in some camera models to establish wireless connection between the devices easier. The HDRCX440 doesn't have this option. You can connect the camera to the smartphone by going through the wireless settings of both the camera and iPhone. Please follow the steps in this link to control the camera wirelessly.

 

NOTE: Please forget your Home Network or change the wireless connection settings of the iPhone before connecting the camera. Any network that are set to automatically connect to the smartphone may interfere with the camera connection.
