Mitch,
Thank you for your response. Yes, I have made sure Play Memories has the latest update. The LG blu-ray writer program has been updated with the latest free upgrade. Cyberlink wants us to purchase an upgrade at a large cost. No other writer program has been installed on the computer. We have not had a problem until we upgraded with Windows 10. It is throwing a new error now: 0070-0013-801B-00008000. Isn't there a way to decider these error codes. Please help so I can back up our home videos. Thanks!

Hi, I am currently having trouble with Playmemories Home.

 

I want to get  a video with sound that I recorded from my camera, and have pictures in a slideshow with the sound playing. Is this possible?

Stop Motion+ app - IR remote shutter

Hi,

 

Is Stop Motion+ compatible with the IR Remote Control? I have not found this option.

 

It would be very usefull because all my created animation have not expected motion due the physical shutter.

This is making me crazy. I have downloaded photos & videos to my MacBook via USB in the past (directly to iPhoto). Now the laptop doesn't seem to recognize the Sony as100v. Tried using PlayMemories: It brings up the Playmemories home page but when I go to import media files, I get a Please Turn on Camera Window message. 

 

Have tried various USB cables, both USB ports - no luck.

 

When I plug the USB into the laptop the Sony shows USB in the side window & the battery icon - this is with the USB OFF in the Settings. If I turn ON the  USB Setting it shows USB in the side window, but not the battery icon. This is all VERY confusing!

Hi Gogh,

 

You're correct in saying that the PlayMemories Home software is not needed when importing or editing the files taken from your HDR-PJ810E Handycam. The issues you may be getting when using the third party software may lie on the incompatibility of the video format Sony is using. Please check with the software developer for more information about this.

Hi twaterman,

 

Instead of using the LG Bluray program, we recommend using the PlayMemories Home Bluray add-on instead. You can download the program here. I would also suggest reducing the number of files you want to copy to the disc at a single time to avoid issues while creating them.

Hi Jimbobcpa,

 

The author file you're referring to might be the .modd files. These files contain the information about the video such as date, time, and exposure settings. Please do not delete these files. May I ask the OS of your computer? Also, have you tried using a different computer with a different OS version and still get the same result? Are you getting an error message when creating STD discs from AVCHD files? Any added information on this would be helpful.

I originally tried this on our home computer which uses Windows 7.  Subsequently, I tried it on my office computer which uses Windows 10.  Interestingly enough, I had no problems installing or operating the program in Windows 10 except for this DVD burning issue which seems identical on both computers.

The only error message is not really an error message.  A pop-up appears that explains that the video needs to be authenticated and directs to the instructions for downloading additional software.  Following these instructions leads you to eventually get an "URL expired" when attempting to download additional software.

Regardless if PlayMemories Home software is not needed when importing or editing the files taken from the HDR-PJ810E, I am interested in knowing what INDICATORS PMH might make in correcting (or preparing) formatting upon import.  This is a question a Sony programmer should answer.

 

What is the exact video format Sony uses for the HDR-PJ810e?

Exporting meda from PMH to external hard drive

At the left-hand margin in the PMH program there is a tree directory that recogniizes my external hard drive, but the directory only seems to read files I have imported into PMH from the hard drive.  The directory does NOT accept a drag-and-drop of a clip to be exported back to the hard drive.
 
I do NOT want to convert PMH files to MP4 formatting.
 
How do I properly export files imported in PMH to the external hard drive while preserving any background format preparation or correction that PMH may perform to the media?

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

From what I understand on your post, you want to make a slideshow of your pictures and videos  with an embedded audio using PlayMemories Home. This is not possible when using the program. You may playback the pictures on a slideshow but there would be no sound. The audio will only play once the slideshow is displaying recorded videos. 

 

We recommend using a video editing software such as Sony's Vegas Pro to create a sort of movie from the combined pictures and videos. And for you to be able to manipulate it to your preference including embedding music.

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

Since the USB icon shows up when the camera is connected to the computer, this would indicate that the camera is connected to the device. Did you press the REC button when PlayMemories Home prompted you to turn the camera on? If you're using the newest Mac OS version El Capitan, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of PMH. You will also find a No Name icon on your desktop. Click on the icon to  view the files saved in the card.

 

I would also suggest connecting the camera to a different computer to isolate the issue. If the issue is unresolved, reset the camera back to its default settings by selecting RESET.

Hi rogeriosg,

 

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

Sorry but the wireless remote control will not work if you will use the app. You will need to press the shutter button in the camera for it to record the image. Also, even if the camera has touchscreen capabilities, the touchscreen functionality will also not work. You will have to use the physical shutter to take and record image. I would suggest to have the camera attached to a tripod for stability.

Only autofocus on A7s II using the playmemories app?

Hi,

I see in photo mode I can touch the screen on my Iphone to focus on a specific spot. 

But in video mode, there are only two options AFc or manual focus.

 

I'm using the Smart remote control app on my phone.

 

I really need the camera to not be in AF so I can touch the Iphone screen to focus on one spot. 

 

Is this possible and if so what are the camera settings?

I have a sony a5000 and I connected it to my iphone 6 through the playmemories app, how can I move the lens towards or away from the subject on my iPhone? I don't see it at all on my screen.

I am using Capitan. I downloaded PlayMemories quite recently - it's version 3.1.00.12180.

 

"Did you press the REC button when PlayMemories Home prompted you to turn the camera on?"

 

It wouldn't allow me to press the REC button - MEDIA flashed in the window. This led me to suspect that perhaps something was wrong with the memory card. I opened up the camera, took the card out & put it back in. Now it seems to be working.

 

What the ****** ... there's always something! Smiley Sad

Same here as well - Windows 10 Po in the UK - used to work with previous versions.  Then started to get the dreaded "Browser has stopped working". Uninstalled and reinstalled latest 5.1 version - no PlatMemories OnLine menu; no syncing going on to my existing account.  Help would be appreciated.
